GET HYPE! The origin of the CLEGANEBOWL name comes from Game of Thrones, which is a reference to brothers Sandor Clegane ("The Hound") and Gregor Clegane ("The Mountain") pitted against each other in a trial-by-combat. The bowl name is especially fitting since most collegiate and profession football championships are played in a "bowl" format (i.e. Cottonbowl, Orangebowl, the Big Game, etc).

In season 5, due to going 5-1 in the first six games while scoring one of the lowest total points, this franchise was dubbed to have a "Meme schedule". After losing 6 in a row and falling near the bottom of the table, CLEGANEBOWL renamed his team to "CLEMEMEBOWL" after much ridicule from the other franchises for his "meme schedule."

CLEGANEBOWL franchise also looks down upon those who rely on the autodraft system to pick their team. Ironically due to work commitments, his team in the fifth season was partially autodrafted.
