Hello managers, here are some rule changes likely to go into effect for the next season.
LEAGUE GENERAL
Team count increased from 10 to 12
Divisions enabled, 3 divisions
Division Winners advance but are seeded by overall standings
Team list and schedules to be finalized no later than August 17
DRAFT/ROSTER
Draft Date: August 25, 2019 at 9:30AM Pacific Time
Draft pick time decreased from 90 seconds to 60 seconds
New position added: Wide Receiver/Tight End Flex added
Bench slots increased from 6 to 8
IR slots increased from 0 to 1
WAIVERS AND TRADERS
Trades "Reviewed by Votes from Managers" to "Commissioner only"
Trade Protest time reduced from 2 days to 1 day
Waiver Priority changed from Weekly Rolling list based on Standings to FAAB w/ Continual Rolling list tiebreak
Initial FAAB budget for all teams will be $150.
$0 bids allowed. FAAB budget is tradeable among managers
Additional funds may be allocated based on weekly challenge criteria TBD
Waiver rule change from Game Time - Tuesday to Continuous
Waivers are processed on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
SCORING
Offense "Points Per Carry" reduced from 0.1 to 0
Defense "Points allowed 0" increased from 10 to 15
Defense "3 and Outs Forced" increased from 0 to 0.2
Defense "4th Down Stops" increased from 0 to 0.2

ReplyDeleteI’m not sure about divisions, it might be too much too soon with all the other changes. I’m open to it though if everyone else is interested.
I would argue for a third wide receiver slot instead of a second flex, especially in a PPR league. This will help boost the value of the WR position, reward intelligent drafting, and likely promote trade as the season progresses.
I don’t believe that an IR slot is needed when we are already adding two more bench spots, it just seems redundant.
I love the FAAB idea, but would suggest a total budget of $100 dollars as it is much easier to calculate what percent of your FAAB to spend on a player.
Finally, a couple questions: how are we handling kick returns? I think if one of your starters returns a kick for a TD, you should get the TD points but not the yardage. How are we going to handle draft position with new teams entering the league? I don’t really have suggestions here, just wondering...
